A first crochet kit should contain the hook. That sounds obvious, yet half the boxes sold as “kits” don't have one — leaving you to buy a tool whose size you don't know before you've even started. Every kit below holds the yarn, the hook and the stuffing — the three things without which the piece stays unfinished. Eyes vary from box to box: embroidered in thread on some, plastic safety eyes on others, and a few listings don't mention them at all. We say so kit by kit rather than promising in bulk.
