  • We read the contents, line by line

    Not the sales copy. The itemised list on the seller's own page — and when they don't give one, we look it up elsewhere.

  • A box that isn't complete doesn't get in

    Half the boxes sold as “kits” leave out the tool. Those don't appear here, however good they look.

  • Every price carries its date

    A price checked six months ago isn't data. Each page says when we last looked.
